Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when joining the collective or participating in drops: your name, email address, state of residence, and shipping address. For California members who use a designated FFL for pickup, we do not store your home address for shipping; for members in other states, we collect and store your shipping address. If you hold your own FFL and are eligible for direct shipment (e.g., in California), we collect and verify your FFL license number and related business details. We do not store your full payment card details; payment methods are stored and processed by Stripe, and we store only a Stripe customer ID to associate your account with your payment method.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process drop commitments, fulfill orders when a drop is triggered, and communicate with you about your commitments and orders. We use your state and address information to calculate applicable taxes and to comply with state and federal regulations governing the sale and shipment of ammunition. For California members who provide their own FFL information, we use that information to manually verify your license before authorizing direct shipment.

3. Payment Processing

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your card number, expiration date, or CVV. We store only the Stripe customer ID and, when applicable, a reference to your saved payment method so we can charge your card when a drop you have committed to is triggered. Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by their own privacy policy and compliance programs (including PCI DSS).

4. Firearms & Ammunition Regulations

We collect your state of residence to comply with state and federal laws regarding the sale and shipment of ammunition. We do not offer direct shipment to certain states where the law restricts or prohibits such sales (currently including NY, NJ, MA, CT, IL, HI, DC, and MD). If you are in a restricted state, we may still collect your email and state so you can join a waitlist for future availability; that information is used only for that purpose and to comply with our legal obligations.

5. FFL Information

For California members who do not have their own FFL, we route orders through designated FFLs and do not store your FFL's details beyond what is necessary for that shipment. For members who hold their own FFL and request direct shipment, we collect your FFL license number, business name, and address. This information is manually verified before we authorize direct shipment. We retain FFL information only as long as needed for verification, compliance, and fulfillment.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as necessary to operate the service: with Stripe for payment processing, with our shipping carrier to fulfill orders, and with designated FFLs when your order is shipped to an FFL for pickup. We may also share information when required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

7. Communications

We send transactional emails necessary for your membership and orders, such as order confirmations, drop notifications, and notices when a drop is triggered. We do not add you to marketing or promotional email lists without your consent. You can manage notification preferences in your account settings.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account and transaction records as required by federal firearms regulations and for legitimate business purposes (e.g., tax, disputes, and compliance). If you request account deletion, we will remove or anonymize your data to the extent allowed by law; some records may be retained where required by regulation.

9. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at brandon@brasslinecollective.com. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law. Note that we may be required to retain certain information for legal or regulatory reasons.
